"The EFG Board is delighted to announce that recognition of EurGeol title holders as Competent Persons able to sign off reports has been extended. It has now been accepted that European Geologists can sign off reports by Stock Exchanges in Canada, Australia and South Africa.
The approvals for this recognition reflect the qualifications of EurGeol title holders, the requirement to be up to date (as shown by audit of CPD records) and professional operation under a Code of Ethics. In order sign off reports for these Stock Exchanges, it is necessary for the EurGeol to act as a Competent Person and to ensure that they are acting within their competence.
